A
new range of super efficient 100% polypropylene filter
cartridges produced in any length or diameter to customer
requirements. The new cartridges have been designed and
developed to fill the gap between the low cost spun yam
type and the more expensive 'absolute' type.
|
 |
|
These
new C.P.P. filter cartridges are produced from specially
developed micro fibril continuous polypropylene filaments
which unlike standard filaments and yarn do not lie side
by side but are intermingled to give micro-pores between
the fibrils. This provides millions of tiny dirt-catching
spaces which act in effect as a deep membrane. One distinct
advantage is the achievement of very high flow rate, because
there are no tightly wound yarns or filaments lying parallel
to each other, which would restrict the flow. Another
important factor is that because the micro fibrils are
developed from a micro-filament, there is virtually no
shedding or fine fibre migration to contaminate the product.

Depth
Grading. C.P.P. cartridges can be produced with
depth grading, so that the pores are larger on the outside
and finer at the centre. As a result, the courser particles
are trapped in the outer layer, leaving the inner layers
free to deal with finer filtration. These Cartridges therefore
block up or "blind" more slowly.

Dirt
holding capacity. The capacity of the new C.P.P.
cartridges is very high, and tests over 12 months in a
highly contaminated sea water system have shown that thay
clarify in 1/3rd of the time taken by spun wound cartridges,
and that they last very much longer, making filtration
not only more efficient, but also less costly.
